Terms of Service

These terms govern the use of the "Lamh" service provided by Mubtakarat for Information Technology (Commercial Registration 7027432108, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia). Creating an account or using an API key means you accept them. The Arabic version prevails in case of any difference; this English version is provided for convenience.

  1. Definitions. "Company": Mubtakarat for Information Technology. "Customer": the organisation that opens an account. "Service": the hosted Lamh API and related services. "Customer Data": documents and passages the Customer sends. "Certificate": the Service's result for a passage. "Authority Registry": the Company's database of the status of laws, standards and guidelines.
  2. Service. The Service is provided as a hosted service only. The Customer receives no copy of the software, its source code or the Authority Registry, only a limited right of use through the API.
  3. Account and keys. The Customer keeps registration details accurate and API keys confidential. Any use with the Customer's key is attributed to the Customer until it asks for the key to be revoked.
  4. Plans and payment.
    1. The trial is free for 14 days within the limits published on the website.
    2. Pro costs 990 SAR per month for customers in the GCC, paid in advance through Moyasar; the Company issues the tax invoice.
    3. Outside the GCC, Pro costs 265 USD per month and is purchased through Paddle as Merchant of Record: Paddle's terms apply to the purchase, Paddle handles sales tax and invoicing in the Customer's country, and the subscription renews automatically until cancelled.
    4. Enterprise is provided under a separate agreement.
    5. If a subscription is not renewed, the Service is suspended after a 3-day grace period.
    6. The first subscription payment is fully refundable within 14 days of payment, no reason needed. Renewal payments for a period that has started are not refunded, unless the Service was unavailable because of the Company in a way that prevented its use.
  5. Usage limits. The Company may temporarily throttle requests that exceed the plan's limits or rate, without this being a breach.
  6. Acceptable use. The Customer will not send data it has no right to process, try to access another customer's data, test the Service's security without written permission, or use the Service for unlawful activity.
  7. Intellectual property and trade secrets. The Service, how it works, the Authority Registry and all improvements belong to the Company and are trade secrets. The Customer will not reverse engineer, systematically query or otherwise try to extract the method or the Registry, nor build a competing service with the Service's outputs. Customer Data remains the Customer's.
  8. Customer Data is processed only to provide the Service, under the Data Processing Agreement, which forms part of these terms.
  9. Nature of outputs. Certificates and notices are automated aids and are subject to the Disclaimer.
  10. Warranties. The Company uses reasonable care to operate the Service and keep the Registry up to date. It does not warrant that the Service is error-free or that the Registry covers every law and standard in every jurisdiction.
  11. Limitation of liability. The Company's total liability is limited to the amounts the Customer paid for the Service in the 12 months before the claim; the Company is not liable for indirect damages or lost profits, to the extent permitted by law.
  12. Termination. The Customer may cancel at any time and may delete its data immediately through the API. The Company may suspend or terminate an account that breaches these terms.
  13. Changes. The Company may change these terms with 30 days' notice; continued use after that means acceptance.
  14. Governing law and jurisdiction. These terms are governed by the laws of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Disputes go to the Commercial Court in Riyadh after an attempt at amicable settlement within 30 days of notice of the dispute.
